As an educator, I’ve seen firsthand how vital early support is for a child’s long-term success. The rollout of family hubs, building on the foundations of Sure Start, is a much-needed investment in our communities. This kind of joined-up support gives every child a stronger chance to thrive—both in and out of the classroom.
What a mess the tories left! it takes time to fix things properly! why do sensible people lose their reasoning skills! yes mistakes happen but surely taking responsible action is better than nothing! we are all frightened for our children, grandchildren and our beloved older folk/pensioners but try and be hopeful. Disregard the puffery of Farage and his cohort who feed off immediate fears and create hate not hope!!! A message to resident/junior doctors have an iota of sympathy for the plight of graduates your age with exactly the same concerns you have but no platform or voice but do have the courage to carry on without complaint because there is so much carnage and misery in the world which reminds us how fortunate we are!!! There has to be hope
Sure Start's impact on families and the way it reduced child poverty and improved health and educational outcomes for families cannot be overstated - it was game changing. If the plans for family hubs have even just half the impact it will be life changing for families across the country and for generations to come
