I know how hard it is for new parents juggling childcare and work. Right now, one in three dads don’t take paternity leave because they can’t afford it — that's just not fair. My government is launching a full review of our parental leave system to deliver for all working parents.

Does your definition include self employed working dads? I doubt it. They are usually overlooked. The definition of who is "working" needs work.
Is this to distract from the fact you won’t launch a review into grooming gangs?!? You’re launching a different review? 🤦🏻♀️🙄
And there you go ….. again! Let’s hike taxes up so that SME’s can’t grow and struggle so you can give MORE handouts to those poor dads that can’t afford paternity leave. A man works and goes to work to provide for his family, if that means that sacrifices have to be made, then so be it. Why is society so F…. up; that it is frowned upon that a traditional family model is now close to becoming criminal enterprise ?! Furthermore, those men knew 9 months ago they were having a child, so a bit of financial planning during those 9 months leading up, is too much to ask ? Is this is too much to ask; don’t have kids…….

A good example to aspire to would be Spain. They match the paternity with the maternity. They can get 4 months full pay, take it when they like, so it can be staggered. On top of that childcare places are around £17 per day for when parents do need to return to work. This model for parental leave would be a good start and a huge improvement to the 2 weeks, which for new parents is, for want of a better word, is torture.
Good luck
