Spent a great two days with some amazing students at CMU. Really impressive to see them in action conducting research in store; engaging with customers and associates.

The capstone project is one of the cornerstone experiences of our grad students. This fall, as part of the capstone project, a group of students from the MS in Product Management program have been working with The Home Depot. Being the world's largest home improvement retailer, collaborating with The Home Depot allowed students to examine opportunities that will ultimately provide a better user experience to customers. For this project, they examined the coupon omnichannel experience. As part of the capstone, the students did a store visit at Pittsburgh along with the Sr Director of Product Management, John Soricelli, and the Director of Product Management, Jesse Erdal, as their mentors. During the store visit, our students interviewed various customers, performed contextual interviews, and gathered insights from the pain points of the customers. Currently, The Home Depot is working on coupon marketing and digital transformation strategies that will improve the experience for their customers. Now as we move towards the second half of the fall semester, we wish our MSPM students all the best as they complete their capstone projects.
