European Commission’s Post

Every flood, fire, and storm can carry a story of livelihoods, families and homes destroyed.    The impact of climate change is undeniable. On the EU Day for the Victims of the Global Climate Crisis, we pause to remember the lives lost to it, and those forever changed.     It is also a stark reminder and call to action. By preparing our homes, infrastructure, economy, and health systems, we can protect our communities. Alongside efforts to cut climate-warming emissions, the EU tackles growing climate risks by:     🆘Deploying rapid-response teams cross Europe  📡Launching early-warning systems for extreme weather  🏙️Building and adapting cities to be climate-resilient  🏥Training healthcare workers to address climate-related risks Let’s honour the victims by building a safer future.

  • A digitally illustrated scene depicting two members or the rescue team and one individual paddling a small inflatable boat through deep floodwaters in a residential area. The water reaches halfway up the doors and windows of houses, and partially submerged red cars are floating around. The background and general colour scheme are blue. The text reads: 'EU Day for the Victims of the Global Climate Crisis.' A European Union flag is positioned in the bottom right corner.

Stop this BS. Europe is only responsible for 7% of nitrogen emissions.

Climate crisis is in our head, pumped by WEF everiday for years. Ofcourse now we have "crisis".

An important day to mark—especially in light of the recent lives lost in European heatwaves. We must not forget the broader issue of climate injustice. Arctic Basecamp stands with everyone who has been directly impacted by the climate crisis and demands accountability and urgent action.

So important to reflect and even more important is the call to action. Global climate crisis is real.

Por eso mismo, si cambiamos el patrón miedo del dinero FIAT por el patrón valor del F.M.U. se puede solventar estos desastre de forma mucho más centralizada y económica para el conjunto de la humanidad.

And please do not invest in an entity committing genocide, sanction them, stop funding their deadly research and save EU tax payers money to Europeans. https://www.somo.nl/economic-sanctions-eu-is-israel-largest-investor/

Good initiative, good reminder. And yet we need more regular journalistic coverage of that. Sober, focused and with a clear eye on what matters. https://www.cleanenergywire.org/dossiers/ill-equipped-europe-braces-impact-rising-temperatures How about training up more colleagues across the EU?
