The Eurozone unemployment rate is 6.2%. Unemployment rates are hovering near double-digit levels in some countries. For example, unemployment in Spain has risen to 11%, Finland to 9.1%, and Sweden to 8.5%. There are approximately 13 million unemployed in the EU. https://www.destatis.de/Europa/EN/Topic/Population-Labour-Social-Issues/Labour-market/EULabourMarketCrisis.html#:~:text=In%20the%20EU%20%2D27%20a,%25)%20and%20Finland%20(9.1%25). 21% of the EU population lives at risk of poverty and social exclusion. That's 94 million people. This is a significant deviation from the UN and EU 2030 goals. Given this, it's absurd for the EU to engage in propaganda as if nothing is happening. Why doesn't the EU prioritize helping its own citizens? Is the EU the enemy of Europeans? Furthermore, the increase in the number of economically disadvantaged Europeans in recent years has fueled xenophobia. Welfare chauvinism is at its highest in the EU. Doesn't the data pointing to this danger mean anything to the EU administration? https://www.eapn.eu/eurostat-updated-poverty-and-social-exclusion-statistics-for-the-eu-in-may-2025/#:~:text=According%20to%20the%20last%20Eurostat,decrease%20of%20approximately%20of%201.3%25.
