🇪🇺 Executive Vice-President for Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs and Preparedness - European Commission

🇪🇺Today, the European Commission adopted its proposal for the next Multiannual Financial Framework (2028–2034) — a €2 trillion budget for a new era. A budget that is larger, smarter and sharper. A budget that reflects Europe’s ambition, confronts its challenges, and strengthens our independence. Above all, it’s a budget that delivers for #people. We succeeded in keeping a strong social ambition through: 🔷a dedicated Regulation for the European Social Fund (ESF+); 🔷at least €100 billion in social investments through the National and Regional Partnership Plans; 🔷an additional 50 billion corresponding to the Social Climate Fund Allocation. 📍In the new #MFF, Erasmus+ gets stronger because learning mobility & capacity building are key for a more competitive, attractive and resilient Europe! It will support #UnionofSkills & European Education Area - to build life competences, basic and advanced skills Europe needs for the future. This is Europe investing in its people. 🔷A new integrated fund: #AgoraEU — doubling support to €8.6 billion for culture, media, democracy, and fundamental rights, by bringing together Creative Europe, MEDIA, and Citizens, Equality, Rights & Values (CERV). This #MFF supports the foundations of the #UnionofSkills, empowers citizens, and invests in the Europe we want to build together!
