EU in Emergencies’ Post

EU in Emergencies reposted this

A more resilient Europe starts with stronger crisis preparedness. Today, the European Commission launches two key initiatives under the Preparedness Union agenda: ✅ The EU Stockpiling Strategy ✅ The Medical Countermeasures Strategy   Together, they aim to boost the EU’s ability to respond swiftly and effectively to crises - from energy blackouts and pandemics to natural disasters and armed threats. 🔹 The Stockpiling Strategy is designed to secure access to essential goods - like medicines, food, fuel and water - by improving coordination, strengthening supply chains and filling critical gaps when needed.   🔹 The Medical Countermeasures Strategy focuses on accelerating the development, production and availability of lifesaving tools - such as vaccines, treatments, diagnostics and protective equipment - for future health emergencies.   These strategies mark a major step toward a safer, better-prepared Europe. 📖 Read more: https://europa.eu/!JpFMBQ © European Union, 2025⁣
