Last week I got to spend time with customers, partners, government officials, and Cisco employees in both India and Indonesia. These are two incredibly important markets for us where technology is driving significant progress, and I’m heading home feeling energized and excited about what’s ahead! My first stop was Delhi, where I spent time with key government leaders and Cisco partners. One highlight was our conversations with Jyotiraditya M Scindia about expanding global internet access, strengthening cybersecurity for the AI era, and fostering innovation for the next phase of Digital India. It’s always amazing to see and hear the progress India is making toward their digital goals, and I’m so proud of the role Cisco plays as a trusted partner to the Indian government. Next up was Mumbai, where we gathered employees to celebrate 30 years of Cisco in India. We brought in employees from our other sites across India and the broader region to join us virtually, and it was great to take time reflecting on the incredible impact this team has had on our customers, partners, and communities across India. In fact, the team hit their goal to positively impact 50M lives across India by the end of 2025 early, which is a testament to the incredible culture they’ve built over three decades. While in Mumbai, I also spent time with key customers and enjoyed the opportunity to hear more about how Cisco is helping with their AI journeys. I finished up my trip in Jakarta, where we co-hosted Indonesia AI Day alongside IOH and NVIDIA, met several customers and partners, and made important announcements that demonstrate Cisco’s long-term commitment to Indonesia. First, we launched an AI Center of Excellence in partnership with IOH, NVIDIA, and the Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs Republic of Indonesia (Komdigi). This includes establishing a Sovereign Security Operations Center Cloud Platform powered by the country’s first use of Splunk and Cisco’s Managed Services solutions. We also announced our intention to work with BRIN, Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency, to advance research and innovation in AI and cybersecurity. Finally, we set a goal to double the number of Indonesians we’ve trained through Cisco Networking Academy, hoping to reach 500,000 more students by 2030. I also had the chance to host an Ask Me Anything session with our local team, where we got to hear from employees and address their top of mind. It’s so rewarding to see our employees’ work come to life around the world, and I’m deeply grateful to our teams who continue to execute across these key markets and make a positive impact on their customers, partners, and communities!
