Christian Dior Couture’s Post

At #Dior, we are committed to empowering women. Dior and UNESCO just presented the 5th edition of the Women@Dior & UNESCO Global Conference, celebrating five years of a unique partnership. Mentees and Mentors, leaders of LVMH, the House of Dior, and UNESCO, spoke alongside inspiring personalities and figures working for women’s rights and freedom in various fields, celebrating themes that are more essential than ever – education, equity, inclusion, and gender equality, priorities at the heart of the Women@Dior mentorship and education program, in partnership with UNESCO. The ceremony opened with speeches that conveyed the inspiring visions of Audrey Azoulay (Director-General of UNESCO), Delphine Arnault (President and CEO of Christian Dior Couture, and member of the LVMH Board of Directors and of the Executive Committee), and Olivier Sastre (Deputy Managing Director in charge of Human Resources and Sustainable Development at Christian Dior Couture). Maud Alvarez-Pereyre (Director of Human Resources and member of the LVMH Executive Committee) and Stefania Giannini (Assistant Director-General for Education at UNESCO) also emphasized the importance of education as a lever for women’s empowerment and the responsibility of institutions and companies to build a more equitable, desirable, and sustainable future by preparing young people for the realities of tomorrow’s professional world. Isabelle Faggianelli (Vice President Corporate Social Responsibility at Christian Dior Couture) and Julien Pellaux (Director of Partnerships at UNESCO) discussed the tangible effects of this collaboration and the development of Women@Dior. Inspiring guests also included Zahia Ziouani, Musical and Artistic Director of the symphony orchestra Divertimento – who led the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games – and filmmaker Zuriel Oduwole, the youngest nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize, who defends the importance of female empowerment. Tamu McPherson, Fashion Creative, shared her thoughts on identity issues, while Domitille Kiger, world skydiving champion and co-founder of zerOGravity SAS, talked about her journey and achievements as an entrepreneur. #WomenAtDior #DreamInDior
