Celebrating the Power of Love with Pride at adidas 🏳️🌈❤️ In June, we were discussing, sweating and learning together to mark Pride month for our employees. From panel discussions to sports activities to workshops, we focused on creating a fair and authentic culture of inclusion, respect and support for all our people, athletes, and partners. Showcasing the +1 power of allyship through the lens of sports creates a safe space for everyone, both on the field but also in our workplace. While we were louder in June, our commitment stands throughout the year: we keep teaming up with with organizations like Stonewall and Athlete Ally and support our teammates in celebrating communities and inspiring dialogue through Employee Resource Groups – all to create workplaces around the world where everyone belongs. Let´s all celebrate diversity and inclusion.
FIFA estimates that there are around 130,000 professional footballers in the men's game, yet there are only a few current active players who have come out publicly. Why are about 20% of women footballers in the Euro Cup openly lesbian and less than 1% of the men? What is adidas doing to enable, support and promote Gay men in European Football as they do for the LGBTQIA+ community within the Adidas company as communicated in this post? Will adidas support football players in Germany and Europe to feel more comfortable in openly expressing and celebrating their truth with events and workshops as they do for adidas employees?
