Moving user accounts
- [Instructor] So now let's take a look at how to move user account objects. Now, before I show you how to do it, let me just talk briefly about why you might want to do it, or what happens if you move a user account. Basically, when a user exists in a particular container in the Active Directory hierarchy, two main things that happen with that account. Number one, you could have some form of delegation of control over that user, right? You might have somebody who is able to manage objects within a container, right? So here, as an example, in Active Directory Users and Computers, looking at the customer's service container and there may be a user who has been delegated some level of authority over the customer service container. So that means all the users in that container are under that person's authority. And if you move the user to a different container, that authority may change. The second thing has to do with group…
