- The next tool I'd like to show you is called active directory sites and services. So back here in our server manager on DC-1, I'm going to go ahead and click on the tools menu and you'll see the fourth option here is Active Directory Sites and Services. I will click on that and open it now. Here in this tool I want to tell you that what the main functionality of this particular tool is to go ahead and manage your sites, which is a representation of the different physical locations that you may have in an enterprise organization. And the idea behind sites is to go ahead and to allow for efficiency when it comes to user authentication and access to resources. So let's take a quick look at what we have here. I do want to emphasize this is just going to be an overview. I don't have an environment configured here to really emulate multiple locations.
