- [Instructor] Sometimes we need to retire an older DHCP server and replace it with a new one, but we don't want to have to go in and recreate all the different DHCP configurations that we've already done. So we can back up and restore to a new server. Let's start by adding the new server. I'll right-click on DHCP in my management console and click to add server. Now I'm going to choose the authorized DHCP server called DC2 and click OK And I can see there's nothing yet configured on here, there's no DHCP address pool, or server options, or anything else. So I want to import that information from DC01 one into DC2. So I'm going to right click on DC01 one and choose to backup. And you want to choose the default location, which is the system 32, DHCP and then backup folder.
