Material override updates
- Another area of V-Ray material use that has received attention in the five point one update is the override material. Now, when I say that I am actually referring in this instance to the override material function, as found inside Maxis render setup dialog rather than the override material type. So we don't want to be getting those two mixed up. To demonstrate what I'm talking about here, let's jump into our zero zero one camera view. And with the render setup dialog open, open up the V-Ray tap. After which from inside the global switches rollout, we can turn on the material override function. Now we don't currently have an override material assigned and so let's also open up the material editor, and then from inside the working tab clear out what we have, add a new V-Ray material to the canvas. And then after giving it a suitably descriptive name, added to the override slot in the render setup dialog with the left…
