Overview of the IxD model

- [Instructor] We've discussed how we need to understand a person's context and their goals so that we can describe where they are and what they are trying to achieve. We've also discussed many of the interconnected aspects of psychology, including perception, motivation, cognition and emotion, so that we can better understand how people learn, how they feel and what drives them. When we talk about behavior and product design, we are talking about how people interact with products, and that there is a cycle that describes how we learn to interact with a product. This interaction cycle can be used to help us understand how people leverage their prior experience, identify opportunities to interact, develop expectations about the product, how they make sense of what happens, and how they learn and remember, so they can become more accurate and efficient.
