- [Instructor] Communicating your findings is one of the core functions of being a good analyst. Data visualization is a craft all its own. But Excel has the functionality built in so that you can create some basic data visualizations. I'm looking at the Excel file from the exercise files in this course. In this example, I want to identify if our sales data is exhibiting any seasonality. To uncover seasonality, I'm going to look at sales by month. This will help the sales team set quotas and it will also help better inform the supply chain team when they're making stocking decisions. The tool that I'm going to use to create these data visualizations is called a pivot chart. The first step in creating a pivot chart is to highlight the entire data set. So let's select cell A1 and hold down Control-Shift and we can highlight the entire data set. Next, select Insert. And select PivotChart here. And we can open it up in a new…
