Generate documents using the modern template
- [Instructor] Okay, we should be ready now to generate a document with the modern template. In the library where we've added it, click New. You'll see that the template is listed in the dropdown menu. Click that. By the way, it probably takes about an hour between when you create the template until it becomes visible. I found that out through experimentation. If it's not showing up for you, wait a little bit, maybe close and reopen the SharePoint site too. So here's our new document, using the template. In the right panel, you'll see all of the fields that we created are listed. Let's start with client. Click the field. All of the different values for client are visible. All the names that have been extracted and put into the client name metadata column in the library. Let's select one from the list, and bam, just like that, most of the other fields populate with the corresponding information from that record. That's pretty impressive.
