Enabling taxonomy tagging
- [Instructor] Another autofill feature that's enabled by Syntex is taxonomy tagging. I mentioned this earlier as something that I consider a little bit limited. You really need to already be managing metadata through the term store for this to work, and many organizations find all that way too much effort to set up and manage. If your organization does use managed metadata, creating automatic taxonomy tagging is relatively simple. Starting from the SharePoint library, click the icon to add a column. Select Manage metadata as the column type, and click Next. Now, make sure the automatically tagged documents with terms option is available and turned on. If the option isn't available, you either don't have the service or it hasn't been activated, then you'll need to get your SharePoint administrator involved to get that worked out.
