Machine learning algorithms, part one (Clause 5.12-5.12.2)
- Following the analogy of AI as a vehicle and machine learning as the engine, we can assume that the machine learning algorithm is the steering wheel. In this video, I will introduce various machine learning algorithms that will set the stage for the following four videos. The algorithm is formed in a neural network that contains mathematics that imitates the behavior of neurons in the brain. The network is organized into three layers, an input layer, multiple hidden layers, and an output layer. Each neuron in the neural network receives multiple inputs and produces a single output. Each input has assigned weights that relate to importance to arrive at an accurate prediction. This is in fact the essence of the self-propelling component of machine learning. Neural networks learn by using known data inputs, comparing them to expected outputs, and then adjusting the weights accordingly.
