- [Instructor] In the previous video, you learned how to calculate the difference to another value. Let's do a brief recap. In the context menu of our desired measure, here, the sum of total price, we go to quick table calculation and select the percent difference, for example. Everything I'm about to explain to you works exactly the same way with the absolute difference as well. We now see that the values change, the axis has a different title, and we also find the usual triangle in the rows container, which tells us that we are applying a table calculation here. But we can also see that Tableau warns us that we will get a null value here. Now, where does this null value come from? You may have already noticed that the first year in our graph has no value. Let's look again at the context menu of our table calculation. A new menu item has popped up, relative to. We see that we calculate the difference relative to the previous year. But we do not have any value for the year before…
