- [Instructor] In the previous video, we created a join and a union in the physical layer. These physical tables are now merged into a single flat table that defines the logical table. Let's return to the relationship canvas by closing this join union canvas. You can see that the logical table now contains a Venn diagram indicating that there is a join happening in the physical layer. Logical tables are like containers for physical tables. We still want to bring in inventory, so let's do that here in the logical layer. Logical tables can be related to other logical tables. If we drag inventory into the relationship canvas, we create a relationship between the logical table that contains sales and returns and the logical inventory table. You can see that Tableau creates this noodle, and yes, that is the technical term that Tableau assigned here. We can select matching fields to create the relationship.
