- [Presenter] In the previous videos, you saw multiple ways of combining data sources that you have full control over. But what if you do not have full control over all your data sources? What do you do then? Let's say I want to use a published data source and bring in additional data. Let me do that real quick. I add a new data source from Tableau Server, which will be my KinetEco without returns. Now, because this data source does not contain returns, I need a different data source, which will be a CSV file that does contain all of my returns. Let's return to the sheet. Because this one data source has been published, I cannot create joins or relationships anymore. Data blending is my only way of combining a published data source with other data sources. So let's talk about data blending. Blends, unlike relationships or joints, never combine the data directly.
