- [Instructor] Most of your users may be consuming your dashboards on a big screen, but what about those who need to access your analysis from the road? Let's talk about how to adjust your dashboard for different device layouts. Tableau offers a device preview for phone, tablet, and desktop. Let's select phone and make our model an iPhone 11 using the Tableau mobile app and add phone layout. Tableau auto-generates a layout, trying to best fit all charts and other dashboard objects into a mobile view. However, as you can tell at a glance, that may not always work out so well. So, let's turn off the auto-generated layout and create a custom one. What you need to know about device layouts is that you cannot add any new charts. These layouts are only there to present a different arrangement of charts you are already using in your default layout.
