- [Narrator] Pam Perry continued to explore other career opportunities within journalism. Her desire to help others was the key to finding a fulfilling career. - [Pam] I had an epiphany. After I left The Free Press, I really wanted to do broadcast because I had some training in that, so I was working for a radio station. And I just had an epiphany one day that I was selling air. I want to do something more important in my life than just selling air. I don't know what that was. I was hitting 30 and I was like, "I want to do something more meaningful." And I was running the nonprofit organization, the advertising group, and I said, "I really like nonprofits."
