All the social networks are competing against one another to gain this attention as the more time we spend as consumers on a given platform, the more revenue they stand to make. In the pursuit of growing their businesses, many major social platforms have participated in anti-competitive behaviors in an attempt to dominate the industry. Slowly but surely, government regulators worldwide are identifying the tech companies engaging in anti-competitive mergers and business practices and passing legislation to hopefully correct these missteps.
