V-Ray render output options
- One of the things that we will certainly want to know how to do when rendering with V-Ray, is save our images and our animations, to a storage device, in order to either work on them further, in a post production application, or perhaps, deliver them to the client for critique, or even approval. As we will be looking at rendering animations a little later in the course, let's focus for now on getting our still images saved onto disc, which we can actually do in a couple of ways, in V-Ray for SketchUp. One option is to save images straight out of the V-Ray frame buffer itself. So, let's go ahead and take a render so that we can look at the options we have on the frame buffer window. The first of which, save current channel, captures the image that we are currently viewing in the window, complete with any color corrections or lens effects that we may have added using the frame buffer tools. If I go ahead and click that option, you can see that we get access to a file type drop down…
