- [Narrator] We've talked a lot about your online store, but we haven't talked much about getting a domain for your website. By default, your website will be storename.myshopify.com. You can buy a domain and use that instead. So it could just be laidbackgames.com, instead of laidbackgames.myshopify.com. That's much nicer for the end user, and it looks more professional. If you don't know anything about buying domains or routing DNS, you can choose to buy a domain through Shopify. When you buy it through them they'll automatically configure it for you. If you purchase through a third party, you'll have to configure your own domain. If you want to know the details involved in pointing your own domain, you can check out, "Getting Your Website Online" in the library.
