- [Instructor] In today's time, server infrastructure is no longer limited to in-house operations, it is also now available over the cloud, providing access to server resources over the internet. And so in this video, let us talk about cloud computing. Cloud computing gets its name from the use of the cloud symbol to represent the internet in network diagrams. The cloud symbolizes the abstraction of the underlying infrastructure. Just like when accessing something on the internet, you don't see the physical server, storages, and network equipment, it all happens in the cloud, somewhere out there beyond your immediate view. So in essence, the cloud refers to the concept of accessing and using computing resources over the internet. It is a collection of servers and data centers, which are owned and operated by cloud service providers like Amazon Web Services for AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud platform.
