- [Narrator] This seems like the most rudimentary but it's the most important. We can't get too far in the construction without a single text note. This video will have us tweaking an existing text style, then we'll go in and add it to a section, then to a plan view. So in Revit let's open Structural 47, in the Project browser let's scroll down until we get to Sections, let's double click on Typical Connection Detail. I just want to make a note pointing to this slab. You can either click the Text icon here or you can go to Annotate, Text. We'll keep text 2.5 millimeter Arial for now but we'll tweak that. Now, notice up at Modify Place Text we have a few choices. It's not as good as AutoCAD, but it's gotten a lot better. Let's click on two segments. Pick a point here, I'm going to zoom in a little bit that's one ugly arrowhead but that's fine. Pick a point here, now pick a point here. All caps, we'll just type in concrete floor with metal deck.
