Adding dimensions
- [Instructor] Along with text, dimensions are pretty important. What I'd like to do here is find a dimension style we like, then dimension a section and a plan view. In Revit, let's open structural 48. Let's go to structural plan level one. There's a couple things we can do here. Notice again we have a line dimension on the quick access tool bar and if we go to annotate we have aligned right here. So click either one. Notice we have some choices. Right now we're just going to go wall faces, individual references but all I want to do is dimension the grids. Notice like any other item, we have different types of text styles. I'm going to go arrow filled, 2.5 millimeter Arial. Pick a point here. Point here. Notice that as we move down, it's going to be one continuous object. So I'm going to select three, four, five, and six. Now to end this dimension, what we'll do is we can just pick on a spot kind of off to the side here, as if we're going to pick another dimension.
