- [Narrator] We can get the same vertical and horizontal configuration by actually placing a slab in an area. So what we'll do this time is we're going to place Area Reinforcing in our slab. In Revit let's open Structural-32. Let's go down to level 1 in our Structural Plan. Before you do anything though select your floor. In the properties let's scroll down and notice that we have Cover Settings. I'm going to widen out my properties and we can look into here and hit the dropdown and we can choose quite a few different settings. I'll keep this one now but know that all concrete elements have these settings. Now, I'm going to click on Area for reinforcement. Let's click on Pick Lines. I'm going to pick this outside edge. Now I'm going to go right around my entire slab. Easy as pie. Click Finish. Now it's given us our spacing but notice we still have Area Reinforcement selected. So it's not too late to set our spacing. The Bar Types, 10 millimeter, no hooks, the spacing I want to be 305.…
