Create a box plot chart
- [Instructor] Your business's data sets often follow a pattern where most values usually occur near the median value, that is the middle value. But some values fall outside that range. In this movie I will show you how to create a box plot to capture the range that contains the most common values as well as any outliers. I have a created an app based on the All Details workbook and you can find that in the exercise files folder. I have opened a new sheet for editing and I'll go over to the Assets panel after I click Charts and I will drag a box plot onto the sheet. So I'll go ahead and drag there and it appears at the top. Now for my box plot I can define my dimension and the measure that will be used to create the display. For the dimension I will use customer name. So click Add dimension and customer full name is the first item, so I'll click that. And then for the measure the numerical value I will do sum of quantity. So what I want is to summarize the number of items ordered…
