- [Instructor] A common feature of practically every prototyping application known to man, regardless of platform, is components. These are reusable UI elements and in many respects are akin to symbols in a lot of interactive emotion tools out there. Components are also important elements found in any design system out there. There is one very important thing you need to know about components created in principle, they cannot be added to a design system. Okay, I want you really clear on that. Instead, think of components created in principle as being proof of concept for both the design and development teams and you'd be on the right track. In this exercise, we are going to create a simple component that demonstrates how components are created. And these things can be simple all the way out to complex.
