- [Instructor] In Power BI desktop, I already set up a matrix visual and a line chart displaying the hourly electricity data by energy source for Texas. We can see the columns of the matrix visual match the individual lines within the line chart. If we select one of the lines within the legend, let's select demand, we can see it highlights that particular line. If we hold down the control key, we can select multiple lines and we see them highlighted. However, this process of using the control key can become cumbersome for a larger selection, unfamiliar users and it also doesn't allow us to filter out the lines or columns we don't want to analyze at all completely. In the tech world, we like to eliminate the number of clicks we use so what if we give the end users the capability to easily select either all the energy segments or just some of them in both the matrix visual and the line chart?
