Data modeling

Data modeling

- Once you've connected to multiple data sources you're probably going to want to just jump right into analysis, right. Well, not so fast. You need to be able to connect all of these data sources together if you want to get the full value of connecting to an analyzing multiple data sources at one time. This is where your data model comes into play. Data modeling is not nearly as complex as it sounds. Simply put a data model is how your data sources relate to each other. It's kind of similar to the Lego models you built as a kid. You just need to understand a few simple concepts to really pull this off. First, you need to stand what a table is. In the model view of Power BI you'll see the different data sources and boxes. These are called tables. Next tables are connected via relationships.
