Demo: Creating a quick measure in Power BI
- Quick measures allow for fast calculations for some very common calculations you may need to perform in DAX. These include aggregations, filters, time intelligence totals, mathematical operations, and text. It's a very good way to get started using measures when you're just trying to get familiar with how formulas are constructed. The PL 300 exam may test your understanding and ability to compose quick measures. So let's get some practice by creating a quick measure using our sample data. To create a quick measure, you can right click on a table and select new quick measure from the menu, or you could go to the modeling tab and select new quick measure. Depending on your version of Power BI, you might have a quick measure pop-up window.
