- [Instructor] As you can see, Navisworks brings in every imaginable property you could ever need, but some people just need more. No problem. In Navisworks, we can add custom fields to any object that is not inherent to the program that published the objects, such as Revit or AutoCAD. By adding a new user data tab, we can actually add a new tab to the properties dialogue and start adding custom parameters to that new tab for any object you may have selected. Let's jump into Navisworks. Let's click open and let's grab Navisworks essential dot NWD. Now, I'm going to come into my stairs over here maybe and pick on these for a little while. Now, right click on this set of stairs. Let's click select stair. Not a lot of properties, but if we want to right click right here, we can add a new user data tab.
