- [Instructor] "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong" was a phrase originally coined by Edward Murphy while conducting rocket testing. However, the phrase can more generally be applied anytime risks are inherent to your project. It's never a matter of if something bad will happen, it's a matter of when something bad will happen. And we need to be prepared. Article 73 of the AI Act is the European Commission's answer to, "What happens when something goes wrong?" The requirements in this article state that providers of high-risk AI systems are obligated to report all serious issues regarding the health or safety of consumers to market surveillance authorities in the member state where the incident occurred. Providers and, if applicable, deployers must report all serious incidents to the appropriate market surveillance authorities within 15 days of the incident.
