Add data to an entity using Power Query
- [Instructor] There is another way to create a custom entity, and you can do that by taking data that already exists, and using that data and the definitions of how that data is constructed to create a new entity. You can also use the same mechanism to update information in an existing entity, and we're going to do this in either case by using Power Query. The way we'll do this is we will go back to data and rather than go to entities, we're going to go data integration and either choose new data integration project, because it notes that I haven't done any. We can create one, it's exactly the same thing. And we're going to see a list of data sources that we can choose from. Now, if we had had a lot of information that we wanted to pull into the last entity that we created, and it was stored say in Excel, this would have been a fine way to do this. In this case, we're going to use OData to pull some information in out of the tried by true Microsoft Northwind's Traders database. So…
