- Once you create a strategy to evaluate your training program, you have to implement your plan. There are a few things you should do in this stage of the process. Apply consistent and accurate methods, monitor ongoing data collection, and document the data in a format that's easily accessible, like a spreadsheet or database. Let's use an interviewing skills training program as an example to illustrate how these considerations come into play. Our overall goal is to reduce turnover among new hires within their first 90 days from 30% down to 15%. We can measure this by analyzing data in our company's human resources information system, or HRIS. This is a database that contains all sorts of employee information, but how do we know that data is accurate? Let's say we learn that employee records sometimes aren't updated in a timely manner.
