Meet the content idea grid

Now that you know what makes a content idea good, the next question is, how do you actually come up with these ideas consistently? Well, good news. I've got a framework to help you turn your niche into an endless content machine. Meet the content idea grid. It's super simple but super powerful. This grid will help you brainstorm ideas based on the formula that we just talked about previously, H-E-R, HER. Helpful, emotional spark, and totally relatable, in just a few minutes. Let's break it down. Your content pillars are the main themes or categories that your content revolves around. Think of them like the big-picture topics that you want to be known for. Some examples might be: if you're a content creator, your content pillars could be digital nomad tips, hidden gems, travel hacks; or if you are in marketing, your content pillars could be AI tools, real strategies, or brand buildings; or if you're in wellness, your content pillars could be fitness routine, mindset shifts, and healthy habits. So what I want you to do is to pick three to five content pillars that align with your niche or what your target audience cares about. Now, let's make it helpful. This is where you share tips, tutorials, insights, or how-to videos based on your pillars. I want you to ask yourself, how can I teach something or what problems can I help people solve? Let's say your content pillar is AI tools for marketers. A helpful angle might be three AI tools that will save you hours as a marketer, or how to use ChatGPT to write viral hooks. Or let's say if your content pillar is travel hacks, a helpful angle might be, how to find $20 flight to Europe, or five things I pack that save me money every time I travel. Okay. Now let's talk about how to make the content ideas from an emotional angle. Let's go back to that AI tool content pillar. The emotional spark version would be, I ask an AI to write my entire YouTube script, and here's what happened. You see the difference? One, it's a tip or a helpful suggestion. The other one is a story and stories spark emotion. Or if your pillar is fitness routine, the emotional spark version would be, I went from tired and anxious to thriving in 20 minutes a day, and here's a routine that changed my life. Now let's make it relatable. This is where you ask yourself, what would make someone say, oh my God, same? Or what are the shared moments, struggles, or inside jokes of people in my niche, right? When people feel seen, they feel connected, and let's do some examples. Let's go back to that travel hack content pillar. The relatable version would be travel hacks that I didn't know I needed. For the fitness routine content pillar, the relatable version would be, POV: you finish one workout and suddenly think that you are a fitness influencer.
