- [Instructor] Today, companies realize that cybersecurity due diligence is critical during the M&A deals. However, there are several challenges which cybersecurity teams continue to deal with during these transactions. In this video, we will be covering those common challenges. The first challenge is that most of the time, security leaders or their teams are completely kept out of the loop during the early phases of M&A transactions. They might not be even brought in until later in the process when the initial screening and start of negotiations has already taken place, which makes it extremely challenging for the cybersecurity team to properly assess and address the potential risks in time as the team isn't even given enough time to conduct a thorough review.
