- [Narrator] When you create a new Azure virtual machine, you're going to need to consider the architecture that you want to use and the virtual machine size. So let's take a look at the options that exist. Right now, I'm on the virtual machine screen and I'm going to click the create button. From there, I'm going to click on Azure Virtual Machine. And this brings me to the create a virtual machine screen. So I'm going to scroll down just a little bit and here you can see that we have an option called VM Architecture. So this essentially determines what hardware platform the virtual machine is going to run on. So as you can see, we have an option for ARM 64 and an option for X 64. Now, the options that appear here can vary depending on the virtual machine image that you choose. The image controls the operating system that is going to be installed on the virtual machine.
