- Ads is fundamentally a supply and demand problem. Where LinkedIn AI comes into play is to match the supply with this demand. We want to use AI to show the right ad, to the right viewer, in the right product surface, at the right time. On the supply side, we want to predict what are the ad which the viewers are most likely to click on. Our advertiser provide us with a very broad criteria of user they want to target. For instance, if there's a university who wants to offer a part-time MBA course, they will basically tell us, "These are working professionals they want to target." We will then use the LinkedIn Economic Graph data for instance, the skills we have from LinkedIn Economic Graph to map this broad criteria to a set of viewer profiles who are eligible to see the ad for this part-time MBA course.
