In this example, we are going to take this model with flyaway hair, cut her out from her background and imagine that she is on the front cover of a magazine. So the original starts out looking like this. Let me now just come to arrange and we will consolidate all two tabs so that we're just focusing on this one image. First thing I'm going to do is be cautious. I'm going to duplicate my background layer. Select it, Command or Control J. Now I have this color fill layer. I'll turn that on. I need to move my background copy above that. And now I'll come to one of my selection tools just by pressing W and choosing Select Subject. And as I mentioned in an earlier movie, I'm using cloud detailed results. With this as my base selection, I'll now move to select a mask. And you can see that there's a fair bit of fringing around the edges. We're still seeing a contaminant of the original background color. a few things that we're going to do here.
