Creating a repeat pattern wallpaper
this movie I am going to create a repeat pattern wallpaper and for my motif I am going to use these beautiful bird illustrations which are public domain and I downloaded these from rawpixel.com and then just to finish the project off I will stage it in this living room mock-up. So the first thing I want to do is assemble all of these images together. They're of differing sizes, they have varying amounts of white space around them that I'm going to need to crop away. So I think the first thing is just to open them all and crop and I'm going to perform a destructive crop here i.e. I'm going to be deleting the cropped pixels. So one by one, I'll crop, save and close. So having done that, I'll return to Bridge. Here are the cropped versions. From the tools menu, they're currently still selected I'll choose load files into Photoshop layers. Now one by one I am going to convert them to smart objects because I will need to resize them and I want to be able to do this in a non-destructive…
