This review aims to provide constructive feedback that may help update or restructure the course design. It is not intended to find minor faults with the course.
The pace of the course was normal, making it easy to follow instructions on installing dependencies, using an editor, and identifying compatible browsers for Next.JS. However, switching between branches on GitHub was time-consuming due to the large number of files being edited and pushed to remote repositories. Some dependencies were outdated. The vercel postgres db module is currently restricted to hobbyists, causing some participants to use different db providers, which diverted focus from the course and added unnecessary tasks. The challenges varied in difficulty, and additional hints could have been helpful. Chapter 7's challenge was particularly difficult for those who could have limited experience in using React hooks. The solution for the challenge included next-auth handlers, which were unfamiliar to some participants,
