Create a new project in Recruiter

- [Instructor] Next, let's create a new project. In order to begin, you can navigate to the Projects tab up at the top, and from the dropdown at the bottom, select Create New. This takes us to the Project Creation page. Now it's important to note that there are two different ways you can start creating a project. One is by manually entering in the information, which we'll take a look at in this video. However, you can also use the new AI-assisted project feature, which helps you to create your project using natural language prompts. We'll take a look at the AI-assisted method in the next video. So in this case, I want to enter in my information for this project. First, I'm going to name it, and here I'm going to title it Project Manager San Francisco. I already have a sales manager one created, so I'm going to create a project manager one. This is going to be for the company Kinetico. You want to enter in that company you're hiring for. And then a project description. Now this isn't required, however I do recommend it so you can easily refer back to this and understand what this project was. Now in this case, I'm just going to paste one in and then move on. Next, we fill in the information under the ideal candidate criteria. So this would be a job title, and in this case, I'll enter in project manager. I'll select that from the dropdown. Workplace type is going to be hybrid. Next is employment type, and that will be full-time. Seniority level, I'm going to leave blank for right now. And then job location, I'm going to enter in San Francisco, and we'll select San Francisco Bay Area. Now I want to point out the box in the upper right corner that says people who meet your candidate criteria, notice that this is letting you know the criteria you've already selected, and then how many people on LinkedIn fit that criteria. Right now we have 20,000 people, so we still have a ways to go to narrow that down, but that is our progress. Now down below, I'm going to continue on, and next we can add in skills that are skill keywords describing the role's qualifications. In this case, we are looking for leadership. I'll add that skill. CRM, as well as budgeting. I'll select those. So now up in the right, I can see that there are now 18,000 candidates. So as I entered in those skills, it narrowed down the candidates. Finally, we need to decide on project visibility. Who do you want to be able to see this, only members of this project or any member of your account? So in other words, do you want to make this just for you and your team working on this specific hire, or everyone, make it public? I'll keep it private. Then at the bottom, note that you have the option to add a job post, in which applicants will then be added to the project as they apply. You can do that now, or you can do it later. So for this example, I'm going to skip it, and then go ahead and click on Create Project. It's now creating my project, and once it's done, it opens us up inside of that project. So here I can see where I am in my current talent pool, and it's showing me people that fit this criteria that I'm looking for. And if I show filters, you'll see here that when we created this, it entered in the criteria for the search. Over on the left, if I click on pipeline, I'll see I don't have anybody in my pipeline yet, but this will be that pipeline, and then we can post a job at any time. Now if I navigate back to my home screen and refresh this, I'll notice here that in my recent projects, I have Project Manager San Francisco. So just like that, we've created that project. Creating a project in LinkedIn Recruiter helps you keep everything organized from candidates to communication. It's an important step and will help you to take advantage of the tools and customizations that projects provide. Next, let's take a look at how to create an AI-assisted project on Recruiter.
