The level of inaccuracies in this class is really frustrating, maybe for someone who really doesn't know the subject at all this is fine, but if someone is trying to use this to learn or get a job there are a lot of fallacies that are being presented here. I started working in the industry when SCSI was at 40mb/ps, I worked on the first ISCSI initiator from MS, I started working with 1gb FC and was around when the first CNAs came out because of competition between 8GB FC and 10GB Ethernet. Most of the time the teacher is suggesting that storage data and normal traffic can be on the same network. I am not sure but I suspect that he means that you can use the same type of equipment, however it does not come off that way and some of his examples show it as being physically the same network. Unless you are in some super small 5-10 person office you would never want to mix your storage data and your normal traffic for a number of reasons.
