- Let's say you have a bunch of really useful content on your website. How do you structure that content in a way that appeases the search engines and is satisfying to your website users? Well, a great way to do this is by using silos. What exactly is a silo? Well, siloing is the act of dividing your website's content into different categories and subcategories. So here is an example of a basic silo structure. You really don't need to get too complicated with it. But as you can see, at the top I have my main theme, I then have my sub-theme, and then I have content to go with that. But how does that look in a real-life situation? Let's take a look at an example on my website. So here on my site I have a main theme of selling products, I have a sub-theme of eBay beginner tips, and then I have all of my content.
